Letter Template Inviting Employee to Investigation Meeting:
Dear [name],
My name is [name of the person in charge of the investigation]. I am in charge of the investigation into [details of the investigation]
I am inviting you to attend a meeting on [date and time of investigation meeting] at [location of the meeting] to discuss this matter further with you and obtain your account of the event in question.
During the meeting, I will also have [name of person taking note] present to take notes. Please bring along any information that you feel applies to this investigation and try to recall to the best of your knowledge the sequence of events.
You are encouraged to bring along a support person to the meeting. This person could be a family member, colleague, union representative or anyone else you wish. Please note that while this person is there to support you, they are not able to answer questions on your behalf.
We ask that you keep these matters confidential to ensure this investigation is conducted in a fair manner. A breach of confidentiality could result in disciplinary procedures.
If this date and time do not work with your schedule, please contact me, and we will arrange for an alternative date and time.
